Dotmar Tetron B is an advanced engineering plastic from the Tetron range, consisting of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) homogeneously filled with bronze. This modification significantly improves the base resin's load-bearing capacity while retaining its outstanding chemical inertness.

The addition of bronze increases thermal conductivity and provides superior resistance to deformation under load (creep), as well as reducing the coefficient of thermal expansion. Choosing Tetron B from Dotmar ensures access to a proven material backed by expert machining and fabrication capabilities for reliable industrial component supply.

Key Features

  • Enhanced dimensional stability and creep resistance under load
  • Superior heat dissipation due to improved thermal conductivity
  • Wide service temperature range from -200°C to 260°C
  • Excellent chemical resistance
  • Low coefficient of friction (0.13) for reduced wear
  • Available as rod, sheet, and cylinder for versatile machining

Tetron B is widely specified for bearing pads, wear rings, thrust washers, and piston rings in hydraulic systems, pumps, and compressors. Its properties are also suited to chemical processing equipment and general mechanical applications where low friction and chemical resistance are essential under heavy loads.
