Polystone M PIR (ReLoop) is an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) manufactured with post-industrial recycled content, achieving a significant reduction in carbon emissions compared to virgin material. It combines the inherent toughness, abrasion resistance, and low-friction surface of standard UHMWPE with a more sustainable lifecycle profile.

This grade withstands continuous operating temperatures from -100 °C to 80 °C and offers high resistance to many chemicals, making it suitable for demanding environments. Dotmar supplies Polystone M PIR (ReLoop) as sheet stock, ready for precision machining and fabrication to meet exact customer specifications.

Key Features

  • 60% lower carbon footprint than virgin UHMWPE
  • Outstanding abrasion and wear resistance
  • Low coefficient of friction (0.13) for reduced sliding friction
  • Broad service temperature range: -100 °C to 80 °C
  • High resistance to acids, alkalis, and many solvents
  • Supplied in sheet form for machining and fabrication

Typical applications include wear strips, guide rails, chute liners, and impact pads in materials handling, food processing, and packaging machinery. Its low friction and high chemical resistance also suit components exposed to wet, corrosive, or low-temperature conditions, such as marine and industrial equipment parts.
